Good-bye WordPress, Hello Astro!

This past week, I ported both of my personal websites to Astro on Cloudflare Pages. I am managing the content now using Keystatic CMS, a simple and clean text based UI.

While there are some trade-offs letting go of WordPress, for my needs going forward this is the best option and is completely free except for domain registration fees. No hosting costs! No plugins! No overhead! No headaches!

The sites are now static and blazing fast.

I could not have done this without Claude code. What a learning experience this was for me.

Ii plan to make a video about the experience very soon.
